This year on our way home we spent a day white water rafting on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista, Co.  Here are 2 pictures of our group as they entered Brown's Canyon.

For two evenings we relaxed at the Crazy Horse Camp Ground and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and hot tub.

For those of our visitors who read the account of last year's adventure I should point out that just like last year, God finished off this year's trip with a rainbow.

You can see the rainbow just over the shower house
in the center of the picture.

And, just like last year we finished off our time in the West by spending an evening at the Flying 'W' Chuck Wagon Ranch in Colorado Springs. As was true last year, the show was an enjoyable way to end our Mission Adventure before beginning 2 long days of driving home.

This year's trip was completely different then last year's. Perhaps this is as it should be. After all, God told Joshua to listen carefully for instructions before each battle. Likewise, this trip's battles and tactics were different than those we fought last time. As was true last year, we will be in prayer about whether it is God's will for us to return to Many Waters next year (I personally hope that it is). We will also be in prayer about returning with our beloved brothers and sisters from the Church of the Holy (again, I personally hope this also is in God's perfect will).

My immediate prayer is that the information we have presented on this site will give you cause to reflect upon what it is that the Lord is calling you to do in regards to His great commission to take the good news and great joy of His salvation into all the world. Mission Adventures is an awesome program, and the brothers and sisters who have committed themselves to serving the Lord through YWAM were, and continue to be a blessing to our whole team.

One thing from last year's adventure remains constant. We were blessed with awesome team members, awesome YWAM staff, and we do indeed serve an

AWESOME GOD
Post Script:
About the middle of July a reporter for the Times Courier newspaper in Charleston, IL called us and asked us if they could do a story on our recently completed mission trip to the Navajo reservation. We set up a time when we could meet. We prayed that God would give us wisdom as to what to say and that He would use this article for His glory. What we imagined would be a small blurb in the 'Religion' section of the paper turned out to be a full page story with pictures! The article appeared in the July 29th edition of the paper in both Charleston and Mattoon. As that was the same weekend as a major festival in Mattoon, it could not have had a wider circulation. Our prayer is that people's hearts will be touched by the story, that believers in our area will be moved to both pray for and bless the Navajo and Don & Lynn at Many Waters, and that the account of our mission adventure will stir the hearts of others to actively spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
